To switch the system to standby, press 2STANDBY ONonce on the system (2
4、onthe remote control).If in recording mode, press STOP9(on theremote control 9 ) first.The volume level, interactive sound settings,last selected source and tuner presets will be retained in the players memory.Power-saving automatic standbyAs a power-saving feature, the systemautomatically switches
5、to standby 15 minutesafter a tape or CD has reached the end and no control is operated.Adjusting volume and sound1Turn the VOLUMEcontrol anti-clockwise todecrease or clockwise to increase volume on thesystem (or press VOLUME-/+on theremote control). Display shows the volume level VOLand anumber from
6、 0-32.2Press the Interactive sound control,DSCon thesystem or remote control once or more to select the desired sound effect:OPTIMAL(noindication)/ROCK() / JAZZ()/POP() .3Press DBBto switch bass enhancement on oroff. 12、+/-signs) as indicated.Replace the batteries.Timer is not working.Set the clock.Press TIMER ONOFF to switch on the timer.If recording is in progress, stop recording.TroubleshootingWARNINGDo not open the system as there is a risk of electric shock! Under no circumstancesshould you try to repair the s

16、rCDs,however, are not possible.1Select CDsource.2Press OPENCLOSEon the topof the system to open the CD compartment.OPEN is displayed when youopen the CD compartment.3Insert a disc with the printed sidefacing up and press down on OPENCLOSEto close the CD door.READ is displayed as the CD player scans
17、thecontents of a disc, and then the total number oftracks and playing time are shown.4Press PLAYPAUSE2;(on the remotecontrol 2) to start playback.Current track number and elapsed playingtime of the track are displayed during discplayback.5To interrupt playback press PLAYPAUSE2;(on the remote control
18、 SIDE/;). PressPLAYPAUSE2;(on the remote control 2)again to resume play.The display freezes and the elapsed playingtime flashes when playback is interrupted.6To stop disc playback,press STOP9.Note: CD play will also stop when; the CD door is opened. the disc has reached the end. you select another s
19、ource:TAPE,TUNER or AUX.Selecting a different trackPress PREV1 or NEXT2 on the system,(on the remote control or ) once orrepeatedly until the desired track numberappears in the display.If you have selected a track number shortly afterloading a disc or in the PAUSE position,you willneed to press PLAY
20、PAUSE 2;(on theremote control 2) to start playback.Finding a passage within a track1Press and hold down on PREV1 or NEXT2.The disc is played at high speed and lowvolume.2When you recognise the passage you want,release PREV1 or NEXT2.Normal playback continues.Note: During a disc programme or if SHUFF
21、LE/REPEAT active, searching is only possible within thesame track.Different play modes:SHUFFLEand REPEATYou can select and change the various playmodes before or during playback.The playmodes can also be combined with PROGRAMME. SHUFFLE.tracks of the entire disc/ programme are played inrandom orderS
22、HUFFLEand REPEAT ALLto repeat theentire disc/ programme continuously in random orderREPEAT ALL.repeats the entire disc/programmeREPEAT.plays the current trackcontinuouslyCompact Disc1To select your play mode, press the SHUFFLEor REPEAT button before or during playbackuntil the display shows the desi
23、red function.2Press PLAYPAUSE2;(on the remotecontrol 2) to start playback if in the STOPposition. If you have selected SHUFFLE,playback startsautomatically.3To return to normal playback,press therespective SHUFFLEor REPEAT button untilthe various SHUFFLE/ REPEAT modes are nolonger displayed.You can
