Extend the FM antenna and fix its ends to thewall. Adjust the position of the antennas fo

Position the antennas as far as possible from aTV, VCR or other radiation source to preventunwanted noise.For better FM stereo reception, connectexternal FM antenna.MWMWRefer to page 3 - P5ConnectionsStep 2:Connecting the speakersConnect the speaker wires to the SPEAKERS terminal
8、s,right speaker to “R“ and left speaker to“L“,coloured (marked) wire to “+“ and black(unmarked) wire to “-“.Fullyinsert thestripped portion of the speaker wire into theterminal as shown.Notes: Ensure that the speaker cables are correctlyconnected.Improper connections may damage thesystem due to shor
9、t-circuit.Do not connect morethan one speaker to anyone pair of +/-speaker terminals.Step 3:Connecting to PCUse the supplied USB cable to connect thesystem to your personal computers USB port.After installed the USB PC LINK application software onto your PC, you are able to playbackyour music collec
10、tion via the system (refer to“USB PC Link”).Step 4:Connecting the ACpower cord“AUTO INSTALL PRESS PLAY“ may appearon the displaypanel when the ACpower cord isplugged into the power outlet for the first time.Presson the main unit to store all availableradio stations (page 3 P3)or press to exit(refer
11、to “Tuner Operations”).Step 5:Inserting batteries intothe remote control1321Open the battery compartment cover.2Insert two batteries type R06 or AA,followingthe indications (+-) inside the compartment.3Close the cover.Using the remote control to operatethe system1Aim the remote control directly at t
12、he remotesensor (iR) on the main unit.2Select the source you wish to control bypressing one of the source select keys on the remote control (for example CD, TUNER).3Then select the desired function (for example,).CAUTION!Remove batteries if they areexhausted or will not be used for a longtime.Do not
13、 use old and new or differenttypes of batteries in combination. Batteries contain chemical substances,so they should be disposed of properly.ConnectionsListening to an external sourceYou can listen to the sound of the connectedexternal device through your systemsspeakers.1 Use the red/white audio ca
14、bles to connect thesystems AUX/CDR IN (R/L)terminals to theAUDIO OUT terminals on the otheraudio/visual device (such as a TV, VCR,Laser Discplayer, DVD player or CD recorder)If the connecting device has only a a singleaudio out terminal,connect it to the AUX/CDRIN left terminal.Alternatively, you ca
15、n use a“single to double”cinch cable, but the outputsounds still remain mono.2 PressAUXrepeatedly.Select “AUX”when connecting to a TV, VCRor Laser Disc player.Select “AUX/CDR”when connecting to a CDrecorder or DVD player.3 Press PLAY on the connected device to startplayback.Notes: All the sound cont
16、rol features (DSC, VEC forexample) are available for selection.Always refer to the owners manual of the otherequipment for complete connection and usedetails.Timer OperationsOther ConnectionTemporarily deactivating the wakeuptimerYou are only able to activate the Snoozefunction within 30 minutes aft
17、er the timer wakes up from standby mode.1 After timer wake up, press SNOOZEon theremote.The system will switch to standby mode forfiveminutes.After that,it resumes the lastselected source again.2 Tocancel the snooze function,press SNOOZEagain. Sleep timer setting The sleep timer turns the system to
18、Eco Powerstandby mode at a preselected time.1 PressSLEEPrepeatedly until it reaches thedesired preset turn-off time.The selections are as follows (time inminutes):1530456090120OFF15SLEEPis shown, except for “OFF“ mode.Toview or change the setting,repeat theabove.2 Before the system switches to Eco P

20、a fuse in this type of plugproceed as follows:1Remove fuse cover and fuse.2Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp,A.S.T.A.or BSI approved type.3Refit the fuse cover.If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socketoutlets,it should be cut off and an appropriateplug fitted in its place.If the m
21、ains plug contains a fuse, this shouldhavea value of 5 Amp. If a plug without a fuseis used,the fuse at the distribution boardshould not be greater than 5 Amp.Note:The severed plug must be disposed ofto avoid a possible shock hazard should it beinserted into a 13 Amp socket elsewhere.How to connect
22、a plugThe wires in the mains lead are coloured with the following code:blue = neutral (N),brown = live (L).As these colours may not correspond with thecolour markings identifying the terminals inyour plug,proceed as follows:Connect the blue wire to the terminalmarked N or coloured black.Connect the
23、brown wire to the terminalmarked L or coloured red.Do not connect either wire to the earthterminal in the plug,marked E (or e) orcoloured green (or green and yellow).Before replacing the plug cover, makecertainthat the cord grip is clamped over the sheathof the lead - not simply over the two wires.C
