17、e strictly in-spected to conform with the recognized product safety and elec-trical codes of the countries in which they are to besold.However,in order to maintain such compliance, it is equallyimportant to implement the following precautions when a set isbeing serviced.1.1.1 Precautions during Serv

18、icing(1) Locations requiring special caution are denoted by labelsand inscriptions on the cabinet, chassis and certain parts ofthe product.When performing service, be sure to read andcomply with these and other cautionary notices appearingin the operation and service manuals.(2) Parts identified by

19、the symbol and shaded ( ) partsare critical for safety.Replace only with specified part numbers.NOTE :Parts in this category also include those specified tocomply with X-ray emission standards for productsusing cathode ray tubes and those specified forcompliance with various regulations regarding sp

20、u-rious radiation emission.(3) Fuse replacement caution notice.Caution for continued protection against fire hazard.Replace only with same type and rated fuse(s) as speci-fied.(4) Use specified internal wiring. 23、any direction will not loosen it.Fig.1-1-2(10) Also check areas surrounding repaired locations.(11) Products using cathode ray tubes (CRTs)In regard to suchproducts, the cathode ray tubes themselves, the high volt-age circuits, and related circuits are specified for compli-ance with recognized codes

24、 pertaining to X-ray emission.Consequently, when servicing these products, replace thecathode ray tubes and other parts with only the specifiedparts. Under no circumstances attempt to modify these cir-cuits.Unauthorized modification can increase the high volt-age value and cause X-ray emission from

25、the cathode raytube.(12) Crimp type wire connectorIn such cases as when replacingthe power transformer in sets where the connections be-tween the power cord and power trans former primary leadwires are performed using crimp type connectors, if replac-ing the connectors is unavoidable, in order to pr

26、event safe-ty hazards, perform carefully and precisely according to thefollowing steps. Connector part number :E03830-001 Required tool : Connector crimping tool of the propertype which will not damage insulated parts. Replacement procedurea) Remove the old connector by cutting the wires at apoint c

27、lose to the connector.Important : Do not re-use a connector (discard it).Fig.1-1-3b) Strip about 15 mm of the insulation from the endsof the wires. If the wires are stranded, twist thestrands to avoid frayed conductors.Fig.1-1-4c) Align the lengths of the wires to be connected. In-sert the wires ful

28、ly into the connector.Fig.1-1-5d) As shown in Fig.1-1-6, use the crimping tool tocrimp the metal sleeve at the center position. Observe that screws, parts

30、 and wires have beenreturned to original positions, Afterwards, perform the followingtests and confirm the specified values in order to verify compli-ance with safety standards.(1) Insulation resistance testConfirm the specified insulation resistance or greater be-tween power cord plug prongs and ex

31、ternally exposedparts of the set (RF terminals, antenna terminals, video andaudio input and output terminals, microphone jacks, ear-phone jacks, etc.).See table 1 below.(2) Dielectric strength testConfirm specified dielectric strength or greater betweenpower cord plug prongs and exposed accessible p

32、arts ofthe set (RF terminals, antenna terminals, video and audioinput and output terminals, microphone jacks, earphonejacks, etc.). See Fig.1-1-11 below.(3) Clearance distanceWhen replacing primary circuit components, confirm spec-ified clearance distance (d), (d) between soldered termi-nals, and be

40、e HDD is a precision device for use in reading and writing a large amount of data on or from a disk rotating at a high speed. If it isnot handled carefully, either abnormal operation may result or it may not be possible to read data. The HDD is sensitive to the followingitems and special care is req

41、uired in safeguarding against them when handling an HDD. Also take care in handling a set incorporatingan HDD.(1) Vibrations and impacts(2) Static electricity(3) Rough handling1.2.1 Handling in transport, etc. Be sure to place the HDD in the manufacturers specified pack-age carton before transport.

42、When receiving a package containing an HDD, check that thepackage carton is not damaged (such as having holes in thecarton, crushed corners, etc.). Do not impact the packaging carton when loading or unloadingit. It is not permitted to use the inner package carton only fortransporting an HDD. Do not

43、stack package cartons one upon another.1.2.2 Handling an HDD in the stand-alone status When handling an HDD on a hard workbench, place an anti-static mat (rubber sheet) or similar object on the hard surface(to prevent any impacts occurring between the HDD andbench). Do not stack the HDDs one upon an

44、other. Do not knock an HDD with a hard object (such as a screwdriv-er). Do not place an HDD on its side panel without using a support(do not place an HDD in an unstable position).1.2.3 Handling the installation of an HDD Place antistatic mats or similar sheets on all of the surfaces on which work is

45、 conducted or when the HDD is transported. Do not permit the HDD to knock against the sets brackets. When screwing the brackets, be careful not to knock the HDD. When using a power screwdriver, use a low-shock model and arrangethe tightening torque properly. When mounting an HDD in a main body, take

46、 care not to apply excessive force to the brackets.HDDDo not throw or drop packages.Be sure to package and transport the HDDs correctly.1-6 (No.YD049)SECTION 2SPECIFIC SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS2.1 Different table of featuresThe following table indicates main different points between models SR-DVM70AG and

47、 SR-DVM70EU.2.2 Service positionThis unit has been designed so that the Mechanism and Mainboard assemblies can be removed together from the bottomchassis. Before diagnosing or servicing the circuit boards, takeout the major parts from the bottom chassis.2.2.1 How to set the “Service position“(1) Ref

48、er to the disassembly procedure and perform the disas-sembly of the major parts before removing the Mechanismassembly.(2) Remove the screws that fix the Mechanism, Main board as-sembly to the bottom chassis. If any other screws are usedto fix the boards, remove them also.(3) Remove the combined Mech

49、anism, HDD, DVD unit,switching regulator, digital, DV jack, junction and Mainboard assemblies.(4) If any other major parts are used, remove them also.(5) Connect the wires and connectors of the major parts thathave been removed in steps (1) to (4). (Refer to Fig. 2-2a.)(6) Place the combined Mechanism, Main board and otherboard assemblies upside down.(7) Insert the power cord plug into the power outlet and thenproce
