5、Do not remove the horizontal oscillator tube to kill the high voltage. Remove the converter tube (V2) from its socket and replace it with a 6J6 which has pin 2 removed. 14、 Pre-set the adjusting screws as shown in figure 5. Turn the tuning shaft until the tuning core carriage is at the top of its stroke. Pre-set all tuning cores 1.6 inches from the top of the core to the coil mounting strip. Then turn the low band oscillator core (Lll) an additional 4 turns out of the

15、 coil. Remove the dummy converter tube and replace the original 6J6 in its socket.
