18、ct if a disc is present. During this time (5 - 10 sec.) the laser may radiate through the lens ofthe laser pick-up unit. Do not attempt any servicing during this period!If no disc is detected, the laser will stop emitting the beam. when a disc is set, you will not be exposed to any laseremissions.2)

19、The laser power level can be adjusted with the VR on pick-up PWB, however, this level has been set by the factory prior toshipping from the factory. Such components commonly are called ElectrostaticallySensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits an

27、d some field-effect transistors and semiconductor “chip”components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by electro static discharge(ESD).1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain of

28、f any ESD on your body by touchinga known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging ESD wrist strap, which should be removed forpotential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES dev

29、ices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to preventelectrostatic charge buildup or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not clas

30、sified as “anti-static (ESD protected)” can generateelectrical charge sufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical charges sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately

31、before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement ESdevices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material).7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES divice, touch the prote

32、ctive material to the chassis orcircuit assembly into which the device will be installed.CAUTION: Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion suc

40、4. Removal of Tablea. Remove 1 screw ( t ) and then remove the Support/T as shown in Fig. 1.b. Remove the Plate/Table as shown in Fig. 1.c. Turn Gear/L0 as shown in Fig. 2 counter clockwisegradually until immediately before the tray starts tomove and stop it there.CAUTION : Gear/L0, if turned counte

42、r clockwise con-tinuously, will mesh with the gear of thetray and the tray will come out. When re-moving the tray, use care so that Gear/L0will not mesh with the gear of the tray.c.
