For example, the appliance should not be situated on abed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventila-tion openings; or, placed in a built-in installation, such as abookc

10、 to apower supply only of the type described in the operating in-structions or as marked on the appliance.11.Grounding or Polarization - The precautions that should betaken so that the grounding or polarization means of an appli-ance is not defeated.12.Power Cord Protection - Power supply cords shou
11、ld be routedso that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by itemsplaced upon or against them, paying particular attention tocords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point wherethey exit from the appliance.13.Cleaning - The appliance should be cleaned only as recom-mended by the man
12、ufacturer.14.Nonuse Periods - The power cord of the appliance should beunplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period oftime.15.Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objectsdo not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure throughopenings.16.Damage requiring S
13、ervice - The appliance should be servicedby qualified service personnel when:A.The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged;orB.Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into theappliance; orC.The appliance has been exposed to rain; orD.The appliance does not appear to operate normally o
14、rexhibits a marked changed in performance; orE.The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.17Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appli-ance beyond that described in the operating instructions.
