Tune the receiver to the low end of FM band with no signalinput. Adjust the AGC voltage at point A on l.F pcbassembly with respect
14、 to chassis ground, for +10.5 volts DC.Adiust with 100 kSapot (1).3. Adjust the top slug of ratio detector transformer for centertuner-meter reading on noise.4. Connect FM signal generator to the antenna terminals. Setgenerator at 90 MHz,3 W R.F.40O Hz modulation t75kHz deviation.5, Connect an audio
15、 VTVM and oscilloscope to the E-V 1 159output or E-V 1 180 tape output.6. Tune in the signal generator on receiver at 90 MHz for centermeter reading, NOTE; lf the unit is completely out ofalignment, additional signal level may be required to obtain agood output level. Signal level may be reduced as
16、receiversensitivity is improved.7. Adjust the bottom slug of the ratio detector transformer formaximum output.8. Adjust the lop, then bottorn slugs of l.F. transformers on thel.F. pcb asserirbly ineluding slugs of transformr T2 (locatedin FM tuning unit) for maximum output consistent with awell-bala
17、ncd signal on oscilloscope.9. Adiust the antenna coil T1 in the FM tuning unit formaiimum output, Dial pointer should be setting at 9O MHz.10. Tune the signal generator and FM tuner to 106 MHz. Adiustthe antenna, interstage and oscillator TR trimmers in the FMtuning unit for maximum output. Dial poi
18、nter should besetting at 106 MHz.1 1 , Repeat steps 9 & 1 0 for proper tracking and best results.12. Remove AFC ground!MULTIPLEX ALIGNMENTCheck and perlorm FM Alignment if necessary. lmproper FMalignment will make proper MPX alignment impossible.1. On the MPX pcb assembly, connect a 67 kHz SCAgenera
19、tor to thejunction of the 18 k$l,resistor (20) and the 5llF capacitor 3 at the input of ths multiplex eircuit.Connect an audio VTVM to the base of Ql . (Mode switch inSTEREO on E-V 1180.)2. Adjust SCA coil L1 for a minimum output on VTVM.3. Bemove test equipment connected in Step 1, Connect amultipl
20、ex gnerator to the FM antenna terminals, Setgenerator level to 100 pV at 98 MHa.4. Connect an oscilloscope and audio VTVM to the rightchannel output. Apply LEFT channel modulation (1007o1from the multiplex generator and adjust coils T1 and T2 onthe MPX pcb asemby for minimum output.5. Modulate RIGHT
21、 channel and che6k minimum output on leftchannel. Separation should be 25 dB or greater, Repeat Steps4 & 5 until no further improvement is obtained.05C.
