When replacing a component identified with, use only the replace

4、ment parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the pr

5、oduct to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip comp

6、onents.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground.

7、 Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface suc

8、h as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical charg

9、essufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are p

10、ackaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the devic

11、e will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot f

13、ion of the customer and service technician.LEAKAGE CURRENT CHECKMeasure leakage current to a known earth ground (waterpipe, conduit, etc.) by connecting a leakage current testerbetween the earth ground and all exposed metal parts of theappliance (input/output terminals, screwheads, metaloverlays, co

14、ntrol shaft, etc.). Plug the AC line cord of theappliance directly into a 120V AC 60Hz outlet and turn theAC power switch on. 39、, press this button to select Dolbymodes, and then press the Surround Mode Selector3 to choose from the various mode options.3 Surround Mode Selector: Press this button to select from among the available surround modeoptions for the surround mode category selected.The specific modes will vary based

40、on the number ofspeakers available, the surround mode category andwhether the input source is digital or analog. 43、uning Selector: Press the left side of the buttonto tune lower-frequency stations and the right side ofthe button to tune higher-frequency stations.When the tuner is in the MANUAL/MONO mode,each tap of the Selector will increase or decrease thefrequency by one increment.When the tuner receivesa sign

44、al strong enough for adequate reception,MANUAL TUNED will appear in the LowerDisplay Line $ and in the on-screen display.Whenthe tuner is in the AUTO/STEREO mode,press the button once, and the tuner will scan for astation with acceptable signal strength.When the next higher- or lower-frequency stati

45、on is tuned, thefrequency scan will stop and the Lower Display Line$ and the on-screen display will indicate AUTOTUNED.When an FM stereo station is tuned, thedisplay will read AUTO ST TUNED. 46、 there is sufficient signal strength for the XM system to operate, pressing this button will change the XM Radio channel.5 Tuner Band Selector: Pressing this button willautomatically switch the AVR 745 to the Tuner mode.Pressing it again will select the AM or FM frequencyband, or XM Radio. 47、 45 for more informa-tion on the tuner.)6 Preset Station Selector: Press this button toscroll up or down through the list of stations that havebeen entered into the preset memory. (See page 46for more information on tuner programming.)7 Input Source Selector: Press this button tochange the input by

48、scrolling up or down through thelist of input sources.8 Tuning Mode Selector: Press this button to selectAuto or Manual tuning.When the button is pressed sothat AUTO/STEREO appears in the UpperDisplay Line #, the tuner will search for the next station with an acceptable signal when the TuningSelecto

49、r 4is pressed.When the button ispressed so that MANUAL/MONO appears in theUpper Display Line #, each press of the TuningSelector 4will increase the frequency. (Seepages 4546 for more information on using the tuner.) This button may also be used to switch between Stereoand Mono modes for FM radio rec
