When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-cu
4、rrent or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrost
5、atically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handl
6、ing any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to app
7、lying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder
8、ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do no
9、t remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the
10、 protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when hand
11、ling unpackaged replacement ES devices. 13、nd and all exposed metal parts of theappliance (input/output terminals, screwheads, metaloverlays, control shaft, etc.). Plug the AC line cord of theappliance directly into a 120V AC 60Hz outlet and turn theAC power switch on. Any current measured must not exceedo.5mA.ANY MEASUREMENTS NOT WITHIN THE

23、involvethe erratic operation of the systems memory ormicroprocessor.To correct this problem, first unplug the unit fromthe AC wall outlet and wait at least threeminutes. After the pause, reconnect the ACpower cord and check the units operation. If thesystem still malfunctions, a system reset mayclea
24、r the problem.To clear the AVRs entire system memoryincluding tuner presets, output level settings,delay times and speaker configuration data, firstput the unit in Standby by pressing the SystemPower Control button 1. Next, press and holdthe Surround Mode Button 6for 5 seconds.The unit will turn on
25、automatically.Note thatonce you have cleared the memory in this manner,it is necessary to re-establish all systemconfiguration settings and tuner presets.NOTE: Resetting the processor will erase anyconfiguration settings you have made forspeakers, output levels, surround modes, digitalinput assignme
