Among some types of lead-free solder currently available, it is recommended to use one of the following types for the repair work. Sn + Ag + Cu (tin + silver + copper) Sn + Cu (tin + copper) Sn + Zn + Bi (tin + zinc + bismuth) Caution: 1. As the melting point temperature of the lead-free solder is about 30C to 40C (50F to 70F) higher than that of the lead solder, be sure to use a soldering iron suitable to each solder. 2. If lead solder must be used, be sure to remove lead- free solder from each terminal section of the parts to be replaced and from the area around it completely before soldering, or make sure that the lead-free solder and lead solder melt together fully. Using a 1.5mm hexagon wrench, loosen 2 screws (6). * These screws should be loosened only and not removed. b. Remove the Knob / D22. c. Using a 1.5mm hexagon wrench, loosen 2 screws (7). * These screws should be loosened only and not removed. d. Remove the Knob / D31. e. Remove the 2 screws (8). f. Remove the Escutcheon/VOL. Note) When installing the Escutcheon/VOL, be sure to direct it so that its slit is on the right side. 5. Removal of Rotary Potentiometer, Rotary Switch (Fig. 3) a. Remove the nut (9). b. Remove 3 screws (0). c. Loosen 2 screws (A) to remove the Sub-chassis. d.
