Main chassis assy (Maintenance of a disc and reading ofsignal)2. Roller lever assy (Disc loading)MECHANISM OPERATION EXPLANATION3. Disc guides assy (Maintenance and positioning of a discand the crack to disc is prevented)4. Outer chassis assy (The damper unit which protects discplayback operation from external vibration)5. DVD unit (Control for DVD mechanism)DVD UNITOuter chassis assyFront chassis assyDisc guide assyDamper x 4Roller lever assyClamp chassis assyMain chassis assyFloating spring x 4OPERATION EXPLANATION Disc Loading Turning the loading switch ONWhen a disc is inserted in the mechanism that the detectionsliders will be open to the left and right side and the loadingswitch B or C is ON. The above starts the loading motor rota-tion.Note: In the case of 12cm disc, all switches (A, B, C, and D)turn on and 12cm disc distinction is carriedA BC DDetection slider (L) Detection slider (R)DiscONONDisc loading sw9X92-4400-0x/4730-0xX92-4740-0x/4750-0x Loading the discWhen the loading motor starts rotation, the worm gear alsostarts to turn as shown in the figure. The rotation force is transmitted to the gear train. When the force is transmitted to the final gear, the pull in thedisc for the mechanism.VM3 : Loading motor assyRollerDiscDetection slider (L)Detection slider (R)DiscDisc outDisc inRollerDisc guideThe disc is pulled in or out when the rollers are pushed againstthe disc guide. Operation of Trigger armWhen the rollers pull in the disc, the disc edge (disc outershape) pushes the trigger arm and rotates it.DiscINITAL POSITIONClamper chassisTrigger arm center of rotationPress of disc outer shapeBASIC CONSTRUCTIONThe following figure is looked at the mechanism for the re-verse-side.Even after the disc has been inserted, loading switch is ONand the loading motor and the gear train also rotated. Al-though the gear train is rotating but it has not contact yet in theloading mechanism part. The trigger slider becomes starting point of operation.Trigger sliderRear lock armPinion gearLoading sliderDrive armLock sliderLock arm (R) Lock arm (L) Operation of the trigger slider and constructionof the loading sliderWhen the pinion gear is rotating but trigger slide has not con-tact to the rack gear. The loading slider is assembled with the trigger slider andpushed in the direction of the arrow by force of the spring.Trigger sliderRack gear( * inside of trigeer slider)Pinion gearNot contact withTrigger slider between Rack gearPinion gearLoading sliderTrigger sliderSpringMECHANISM OPERATION EXPLANATION10X92-4400-0x/4730-0xX92-4740-0x/4750-0x Initial operation of the trigger sliderWhen the pressure of the disc rotates the trigger arm, the trig-ger arm (part of A position) pushed the trigger slider (part of Bposition).12cm DiscAABTrigger armCenter of rotationDisc Operation of the trigger slider (contact with pinion gear)When the trigger arm pushes the trigger slider and goes, therack gear of the trigger slider will be contact with pinion gearthat has already rotated. The trigger slider (lack gear) moved out synchronization ofcauses the pinion gear to rotate.Trigger armAContact with triggerslider (rack gear) and pinion gear Operation of the loading sliderWhen the trigger slider begins to move out for arrow side, theboss part of the trigger slider will push the loading slider andwill move the loading slider.Loading sliderBossBossTrigger sliderBossFLOW UNTIL DISC CHUCKING(Playback standby condition)Operation modes: To play back to DISC it is required to per-form flow of operations as shown below.q Moving the disc clamper downwards so that it can clampthe disc during playback (disc chucking)w Moving the rollers that are in contact with the disc (Lowering the roller lever and stopped)e Float (suspend) the mechanism assy in order to protect itfrom external vibrations during disc playbackr Disc playback standby mode (series of completion of operation)t Moving the optical pickup assy so that if can readthe disc signals. The movement of the loading slider activates these series ofoperations.MECHANISM OPERATION EXPLANATION
