Turn the set on and tune in a local TV station. Turn the contrast control to maximum clockwise. Turn the AGC threshold control clockwise until there is a very slight bend, or slight change of the bend which may already be there. Then turn the AGC threshold control slowly counter-clockwise until the slight bend, or change of bend disappears. Turn the contrast control to approximately the center of its range.
