Obscrvethat the headshell length is not greater than the hcight ofthe dust cover. -fhis stand can also be used for storing the45rpm adaotor.SPEED SELECT LEVEREithcr of lhc two specds, 33 I/3rpmselectcd by this lcver. Changc the leverthc turntablc is rot;rting.or 45rpm, can beposition only while45 RPM ADAPTORA 45rpm rccord ad.rptor is supplicd in the accessory box, which permits ul5rpm EP records with large center holesto be played.FUNCTION LEVERThis lcver incorporates power switch and arm elevationfunctions.o OFF AC power is cut off.a ON -UP Power is turned ON. When sct fromDOWN to this position, the tonearm israised. DOWN -fonearm is gently Iowered.AARM ELEVATIONArm elevation maycartridge height. lfdriver to loosen thcrequire adjustment according tonccessary use the acccssory screw-setscrew and.rdjust (see figurc).PL-1 1?OOPERATION1. Remove the stylus cover.2. Set the function lever to ON-UP.(lhe turntable platter will begin to rotate.)3. Set the SPEED select lever to the correctspeed according to the record to be played.4. Disengage arm clamp and gently position thetonearm over the desired portion of therecord.5. Set the function lever to DOWN.Stylus will be gently lowered onto the record.6. Adjust the volume and tone controls of thestereo amplifier as desired.7 . At the end of the record, or to interrupt therecord, set the function lever to ON-UP.8. Return tonearm to arm rest and engage clamp.9. Set the function lever to OFF.(Power will be cut off.)10. lt is advisable to replace the stylus cover forprotection whenever the turntable is not inuse. To take Full Advantage of the FunctionLever (Arm Elevation)The function lever (ARM FjLEVATION) is par-ticularly convenient when you wish to choosea particular track from an LP record. If you move the tonearm while the functionlever is set to DOWN, take care not to damagethe stylus point.OPERATING PRECAUTIONSo Keep stylus and records clean. Use a stylus brushto clean the stylus and a good quality recordcleaner to clean the records each time beforeand aLer playing.o Avoid exerting unnecessary force on the tone-arm. When changing headshells, set the tonearmin the arm rest and engage the clamp.o Take care not to impart vibration to theturntable while a record is playing. Record andstylus can be damaged.o Never touch the SPEED select lever if theturntable is stationary. The speed can bechanged only while the turntable is rotating.o Never obstruct the turntable while it is rotating. This may cause damage.a Avoid placing more lhan 2 records on the tum-table platter while playing record.:levati onet fromrearm isARM RESTThe arm rest supports the tonearm, which should bcsecured by the arm clamp when not in use. Before raisingthe tonearm, be sure to release the clamp.ARM CLAMPACCESSORYSCREWDR IVERSETSCR EW3.
