If it is removed, laser radiation may be recceived. The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within anequilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to thepresence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within theproducts enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude toconstitute a risk of electric shock to persons. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle isintended to alert the user to the presence of importantoperating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in theliterature accompanying the appliance.SAFETY NOTICERadioFans.CN 收音机爱 好者资料库SAFETY PRECAUTIONSLEAKAGE CURRENT CHECKPlug the AC line cord directly into a 120V AC outlet (donot use an isolation transformer for this check). Use anAC voltmeter, having 5000 per volt or more sensitivity.Connect a 1500 10 W resistor, paralleled by a 0.15 F150V AC capacitor between a known good earth ground(water pipe, conduit, etc.) and all exposed metal parts ofthe cabinet (antennas, handle bracket, metal cabinetscrewheads, metal overlays, control shafts, etc.).Measure the AC voltage across the 1500 resistor. The test must be conducted with the AC switch on andthen repeated with the AC switch off. The AC voltageindicated by the meter may not exceed 0.3 V. A readingexceeding 0.3 V indicates that a dangerous potentialexists, the fault must be located and corrected.Repeat the above test with the DVD VIDEO PLAYERpower plug reversed.NEVER RETURN A DVD VIDEO PLAYER TO THECUSTOMER WITHOUT TAKING NECESSARYCORRECTIVE ACTION.READING SHOULD NOT EXCEED 0.3VDVD VIDEO PLAYERAC VOLTMETER(5000 ? per volt or more sensitivity)Good earth groundsuch as a water pipe, conduit, etc.1500 ?10 W0.15 F 150V ACAC OUTLETTest all exposed metal.Voltmeter Hook-up for Leakage Current CheckSECTION 2PART REPLACEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURESSECTION 3SERVICING DIAGRAMS1. PREPARATION FOR SERVICINGThe Pickup Head consists of a laser diode that is very susceptible to external static electricity.Although it may operate properly after replacement, if subjected to electrostatic discharge during replacement, itslife may be shortened. When replacing the laser diode, LSIs and ICs, use a conductive mat, soldering iron withground wire, etc. to protect against damage from static electricity.1MGround conductive wrist strap for body.Soldering iron with ground wire or ceramic typeConductive matThe ground resistancebetween the ground line and the ground is less than 10.Fig. 1-1-11-22. To prevent missing, dropping, etc. of the screws, always use a magnetizedscrewdriver in servicing. Several kinds of screws are used and some of them need special cautions. That is, take careof the tapping screws securing molded parts and fine pitch screws used to secure metal parts. If they are used improp-erly, the screw holes will be easily damaged and the parts can not be fixed.1. REPLACEMENT OF MECHANICAL PARTS1-1. Cabinet Replacement1-1-1. Top Cover1.
