This document contains useful information regarding drive types and firmware versions to be installed in the CDR-882. Drive firmware version 60TE released August 2009 is written for the new DVD-R drives DH-22A9P and CDR-882s shipped from HHB from August 2009 will have this drive firmware or later. In addition there is a new v2.62 firmware for the CDR-882 to fully support the new drives. This CDR-882 firmware is independent of the drive firmware. Finally, a new firmware DO3E for the original CD-R drive DH-52R2P is also available which improves finalization compatibility and reduces data loss in the event of an error.
