Service Information 541/541i PROBLEM: You may have a complaint about an odour coming from the cdplayer after it has been turned on for a while.CAUSE: The rubber pad securing the toroid transformer is warming upslightly and emitting an odour from the unit.SOLUTION: Replace the existing rubber pad with a new pad. The partnumber for this new pad is C541/C541I TRANS PAD. The existing pad willin no way have any effect on the transformers performance or safety issues,aside from this odour.
