By combining this unit with JFTS-compatible components, you can play jitter-free audio. An HDCP-compatible HDMI*1 terminalis provided to ensure the very highestpicture and digital sound quality byfully digital transmission. This unit comes with a High-DefinitionMultimedia Interface (HDMI) jack, anextended DVI interface for next-generationtelevisions. This interface allows transfers ofuncompressed digital video and digital audio(audio streams like Dolby Digital and DTS aswell as linear PCM) with a single connector.HDMI standard Ver. 1.1 compatibility meansthe unit can also transfer DVD-Audio multi-channel audio over HDMI.End-to-end full-digital transfers with all-digital processing make it possible to enjoyrealistic video without any of the imagedegradation from AD/DA conversions. Andwith the inclusion of our newly developed,high-precision 10-bit scaler IC, the unit canup-convert 480p video signals to 720p,1080i, and 1080p video output signals byway of the scaling function and the HDMIjack (see page 52).High quality 14-bit/216MHz Video D/A converter*2The unit uses a Video D/A converter thatperforms D/A conversion of all video signalsin 14-bits and can perform 8X over-samplingto let you enjoy beautiful video possiblewith DVD. Furthermore, NSV technologysuppresses noise during DA conversion.Support for 10-bit advancedprogressive NTSC/PAL with newlydeveloped chroma-errorcompensation.Our newly developed chroma-error compen-sation completely eliminates the chromaerror that occurs near perpendicular edgesin color-difference signals.dts 96kHz/24 bit compatibilityIt is equipped with a dts 96/24 decoderthat lets you enjoy dts audio with soundquality as high as 96kHz/24bit. This prod-uct does not support dts 88.2kHz/24bit.Dolby Headphone compatibilityThe Head Phone can reproduce the world ofDolby Surround with realistic ambience likethat you would experience using a 5.1 chsystem (Excluding Super Audio CD) (seepage 13).Lip Sync capabilityWhen it is connected to a plasma display orprojector, it corrects the time lag betweenthe video and audio created by the videocircuit processing time in units of 10msec upto a maximum of 200msec. It preciselysynchronizes the actors voices and themovements of their mouths (see page 31).Equipped with a Super Audio CDDistance compensation functionIt can perform Distance adjustment of SuperAudio CD that was formerly impossible byconverting it to PCM (see page 44).Superlative audio performance withSuper Audio CD, DVD-Audio, Dolby*3Digital and DTS*4 softwareLogos: The DV9600 delivers breathtaking soundquality with Super Audio CD, DVD-Audio,Dolby Digital and DTS discs.3Discs compatible with this playerAny disc that displays one of the followinglogos should play in this player.
