These levels can be adjusted to/by +/-12dB.eEFFECT SEND LEVELThis knob is used to adjust the signal level from anexternal effects device connected to the AUX send inputjack on the rear panel of this mixer. rGAINThe GAIN controls (on both PGM 1 & 2) are used to adjustinput signal levels. For optimal acoustic quality first set thelevel of the input fader 3 to a position of 7 or 8, then, makeany necessary adjustments to the GAIN control so that asufficient signal is fed through the channel (PGM) withoutdistorting.tHI ISOLATORThis knob is used to adjust the HI frequency signal levelrelevant to each PGM.yMID ISOLATORThis knob is used to adjust the MID frequency signallevel relevant to each PGM.uLOW ISOLATORThis knob is used to adjust the LOW frequency signallevel relevant to each PGM.iSCRATCH EQThis button is used to activate the scratch EQ feature(new) on this mixer. The scratch EQ feature essentiallydisregards the manual isolator EQ setting and passes allsignal feeds through a Mid Boost and Hi Boost EQ andLow Cut circuit (per PGM), which is designed togenerate the best scratch EQ setting possible. oSCRATCH EQ INDICATORThis LED will be illuminated when the Scratch EQfeature i is on.!0PGM BALANCEThis fader is used to adjust the stereo balance on eachPGM. The PGM Balance can also be used to adjust anunbalanced stereo image. From the center position amovement to the right will increase the volume of thesignal R over L and vice versa.!1CF REVERSE SWITCHThis switch is used to reverse the direction of the crossfader (CF) such that if reversed position 1 becomes position2 and vice versa. When reverse mode is activated the CFREV LED 6 will be illuminated in the main LED section.!2MASTER LEVELThis knob is used to adjust the signal levels from the LineOut connections found on the rear panel of this unit.!3STEREO/MONO SELECT SWITCHThis switch is used to select either a mono or stereosignal output for the Line Out section. Regardless of yourchoice, the L & R levels will remain the same.!4BOOTH LEVELThis knob is used to adjust the level of output through theBooth section. !5MONITOR SELECT SWITCHThis switch is used to select which type of monitor signal, either CUE or MASTER, is heard in headphones connectedto this mixer. When set to CUE, both signals (including theEQ settings on each) will be heard. Using the CF MonitorFader 9 will alter what is heard in the headphones. !6RECEIVE CUE SWITCHThis switch has three settings, which in turn control howthe Effect Received signal is monitored. When set toBLEND, users will hear both the effect receive signal andeither the Cue or Master output (see 15 for more). Whenset to OFF, no effect receive signal will be heard. Whenset to SOLO, only the effect receive signal will be heard.!7POWER INDICATORThis LED will be illuminated when powered.!8EFFECT SEND ON/OFF SWITCHWhen on this feature will send the PGM signal (1 & or 2)to the effects send jack found on the rear panel.!9EFFECT RECEIVE LEVELThis fader when moved from DRY to WET is used to adjustthe signal level received from any external effects deviceconnected to the Effect Receive input located on the rearpanel of this unit.0PHONO/LINE SELECTORThis switch is used to determine which input source issent to the PGM. Once an input is connected to thecorrect PGM jack users are able to switch back andforward between either phono or line signals, effectivelycreating a type of transformer scratch. 1REHEARSAL MUTE SWITCHWhen activated this switch restricts the signal path of thePGM to only the headphone monitor, allowing you topractice a mix or scratch using the master CF but withoutthe sound being outputted. Moreover, any adjustment tothe monitor CF will have no effect to the headphone signalwhilst the Freeze feature is active. Pressing both PGM 1 &2 Freeze switches will result in all output being muted. When PGM 1 Freeze is on, the LED indicator above the buttonwill illuminate and all signals from PGM will be routed only tothe headphone section and thus not outputted. Moving the CFfrom position 2 to 1 will have only an effect in the headphones, facilitating practice of a mix point or scratch point. When PGM 2 Freeze is on, the LED indicator above the buttonwill illuminate and all signals from PGM will be routed only tothe headphone section and thus not outputted. Moving the CFCAUTIONA function can be changed with the switch(*) under atop panel. Only the level of the signal (RCV sound)inputted from the EFFECT RCV jack is adjusted atthe time of Switch OFF (at the time of a initial setup),and it changes to the balance regulation volume ofRCV sound and the sound of MASTER OUT at thetime of Switch ON. 47from position 1 to 2 will have only an effect in the headphones, facilitating practice of a mix point or scratch point.2REHEARSAL MUTE/FREEZE INDICATOR LEDWhen the Rehearsal Mute/Freeze feature is active thisLED will illuminate.3INPUT FADERAn input fader is used to adjust the input level on a givenPGM. The input fader on this unit is a PCV fader and utilizesVestax ReX fader exchange technology. This fader is userreplaceable. For comprehensive information on how to replacethis ReX PCV Fader please see the How To Change TheFader Unit section of this manual.4LEVEL METER SELECT SWITCHThis switch is used to select which signal level is displayed. When set to PGM, both sides of this LED section willdisplay the current PGM level, with the left side showingPGM 1 and the right side showing PGM 2. When set toMASTER, the two LED indicators will show the L&Rchannels of the master signal being outputted. 5LED LEVEL METERAs above.6CF REVERSE INDICATOR.This LED is illuminated when the CF has been reversed asdescribed in !1.7CROSS FADER (CF)Assuming that the CF reverse is off, Rehearsal Mute is off, andthat the input levels of both PGM 1 and PGM 2 are properlyset, then when the CF is at position 1 the signals from PGM 1can be heard and when the CF is at position 2 the signals fromPGM 2 can be heard. 8MONITER LEVELThis fader is used to adjust the volume level heard in theheadphone section. 9MONITER CFThis fader is used to adjust which PGM is heard in theheadphone section. #0INPUT FADER CURVE SWITCHESThese switches may be used to adjust the fader curve settingfor either input fader. There are three setting from which tomake a selection (A, B & C) each with a different gradient.#1CROSS FADER CURVE (CF) CURVE ADJUST CONTROLThis knob is used to adjust the slope of the CF curve. Anycurve located between the two extreme positions, gentle &steep, is possible and up to the preferred curve type of any user.Rotating this knob in a clockwise manner will produce a steepcurve more suited to scratching cutting. An anticlockwiserotation will have the opposite effect of producing a gentlerslope more suited to long mixing.#2HEAD PHONE JACKUsed to connect suitable headphones to this unit. Werecommend that users pay particular attention to theimpedance level of their headphones. An impedance level ofbetween 8ohm and 600ohm is best for this unit.313032aabccLLEEVPOSITIONPOSITIONPOSITIONC.F. CURVECROSS FADER CURVEbCBA POSITIONINPUT FADER CURVEFRONT PANEL 58POWERSERIAL NO.
