The (+)lead of the speaker wire isnoted with a stripe. It is impor-tant to connect all the speakersidentically: (+) on the speakerto (+) on the amplifier and ()on the speaker to () on theamplifier. Inthis case, it is recommendedthat you use a “Y”-connector(not included) to maximize thesubwoofers performance.Crossover FrequencyThe crossover frequency knobdetermines the highest frequen-cy your subwoofer will reprodu-ce. It allows a seamless transi-tion from the subwoofer to thesatellite speakers. Experimentwith this adjustment to findthe crossover frequency thatsounds best with your speakers. When the control is at the ”40Hz“ position, very fewhigh frequencies will be heard.This position is best suited tolarge main speakers. For mostusers, the control should beset somewhere near the midposition. For listeners usingvery small speakers, bestresults will be obtained withthe control at the ”130 Hz“position. For subwoofers used withSurround Sound processorswith dedicated subwoofer out-puts, the best result will beobtained with the control atthe ”130 Hz“ position. 4If there is no sound from anyof the speakers, check thefollowing: Receiver/amplifier is on and asource is playing. Powered subwoofer is pluggedin and is in the “On” position. Check all wires and con-nections between receiver/amplifier and speakers. Makesure all wires are connected.Make sure none of the speakerwires are frayed, cut or punctured. Review proper operation ofyour receiver/amplifier.If there is no sound comingfrom one speaker, check the following: Check the “Balance” controlon your receiver/amplifier. Check all wires and con-nections between receiver/amplifier and speakers. Makesure all wires are connected.Make sure none of the speaker wires are frayed, cut orpunctured.If the system plays at lowvolumes but shuts off as vol-ume is increased, check thefollowing: Check all wires and con-nections between receiver/amplifier and speakers.
