When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer. Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device, which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient to damage an ES devices.CAUTION : Signature 2.0 Processor/Tuner harman/kardon Signature 2.0 Processor/Tuner harman/kardon RadioFans.CN 收音机爱 好者资料库1. Inspect all lead dress to make certain thatleads are not pinched or that hardware is notlodged between the chassis and other metalpartsintheunit.2. Be sure that any protective devices such asnonmetallic control knobs, insulating fish-papers,cabinetbacks,adjustmentandcompartment covers or shields, isolationresistor-capacitynetworks,mechanicalinsulators, etc. Which were removed for theservicingareproperlyre-installed.Before returning the unit to the user, perform the following safety checks :3. Signature 2.0 Processor/Tuner harman/kardon Signature 2.0 Processor/Tuner harman/kardon Safety Information2Signature 2.0Important Safety InformationVerify Line Voltage Before UseThis Signature 2.0 has been designed for use with 120-volt AC current. Connection to a line voltage otherthan that for which it is intended can create a safety andfire hazard, and may damage the unit.If you have any questions about the voltage require-ments for your specific model, or about the line voltagein your area, contact your selling dealer before pluggingthe unit into a wall outlet.Do Not Use Extension CordsTo avoid safety hazards, use only the power cordattached to your unit. We do not recommend thatextension cords be used with this product. As with allelectrical devices, do not run power cords under rugs or carpets or place heavy objects on them. Damagedpower cords should be replaced immediately with cordsmeeting factory specifications.Handle the AC Power Cord GentlyWhen disconnecting the power cord from an AC outlet, always pull the plug, never pull the cord. If you do notintend to use the unit for any considerable length oftime, disconnect the plug from the AC outlet.Do Not Open The CabinetThere are no user-serviceable components inside thisproduct. Opening the cabinet may present a shockhazard, and any modification to the product will voidyour guarantee. If water or any metal object such as a paper clip, wire or a staple accidentally falls inside the unit, disconnect it from the AC power sourceimmediately, and consult an authorized service station. CATV or Antenna GroundingIf an outside antenna or cable system is connected to this product, be certain that it is grounded so as toprovide some protection against voltage surges and staticcharges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984, provides information withrespect to proper grounding of the mast and supportingstructure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antennadischarge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit, connection to groundingelectrodes and requirements of the grounding electrode.NOTE TO CATV SYSTEM INSTALLER:This reminder is provided to call the CATV (Cable TV)system installers attention to article 820-40 of the NECthat provides guidelines for proper grounding and, inparticular, specifies that the cable ground shall beconnected to the grounding system of the building, asclose to the point of cable entry as possible.Installation LocationI To assure proper operation, and to avoid the potentialfor safety hazards, place the unit on a firm and levelsurface. When placing the unit on a shelf, be certainthat the shelf and any mounting hardware can supportthe weight of the product.I Make certain that proper space is provided both aboveand below the unit for ventilation. If this product willbe installed in a cabinet or other enclosed area, makecertain that there is sufficient air movement within the cabinet. Under some circumstances a fan may be required.I Do not place the unit directly on a carpeted surface. I Avoid installation in extremely hot or cold locations,or an area that is exposed to direct sunlight or heating equipment.I Avoid moist or humid locations.I Do not obstruct the ventilation slots on the top of theunit, or place objects directly over them.CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE COVER (OR BACK).
